- 500 g Haringhata Boneless Frozen Chicken Breast
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 200 g Spinach (Palak)
- 500 g Onion
- 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
- loose Ginger
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Wash the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 15 minutes while you prepare other ingredients.
- 2. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and season with a pinch of salt and turmeric powder.
- 3. Finely chop the onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, and spinach; keep them ready for cooking.
- 4. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds; let them splutter for 30 seconds.
- 5. Add chopped onions to the pan, sauté until golden brown, then stir in the ginger and garlic.
- 6. Add the chopped tomato and cook until soft; stir in turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder.
- 7. Add the chicken pieces to the pan, cooking until browned and fully sealed, approximately 7 minutes.
- 8. Stir in the spinach and cook until it wilts, ensuring the flavors combine well.
- 9. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan along with water and remaining salt.
- 10. Cover the pan and let the rice cook on low heat for 15 minutes, checking occasionally to avoid sticking.
