Ingredients
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 1 piece Yellow Bell Pepper
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Salt
- 100G Oleo
- - Coriander Powder
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Wash the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
- 2. Heat 300 ml of water in a saucepan, add saffron strands, and bring it to a gentle boil.
- 3. Drain the soaked rice and cook it in the saffron-infused water until fluffy and aromatic.
- 4. Cut the tofu into bite-sized cubes and marinate with turmeric, cumin, coriander, red chili powder, and salt.
- 5. Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan and sauté the marinated tofu until golden and crisp on all sides.
- 6. Chop the carrots, green beans, and capsicum into bite-sized pieces for even cooking.
- 7. Heat another tbsp of oil in a wok and stir-fry the vegetables with a pinch of salt for 5-7 minutes.
- 8. Combine the cooked tofu and stir-fried vegetables, mixing gently to coat them evenly with spices.
- 9. Serve the fragrant saffron rice on a plate and top it with the spiced tofu and vegetable medley.
- 10. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves for added flavor and presentation.
