  • 1 pack (100 g) Khetika Stone Ground Turmeric Powder, Single Origin, With Natural Oils, High Curcumin,Reusable Pouch
  • 100 g Mix Seeds
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
  • 500 g Onion
  • 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
  • 500 G Preserved Dried Salted Black Beans
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 300 g Nutrich Chicken Thigh Boneless
  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • 0.25 g Whole Farm Premium Saffron /Kesar

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes, then drain the water.
  2. 2. Marinate the chicken thighs with yogurt, ginger powder, turmeric, Dal Makhani Spice Mix, and Buknu for 20 minutes.
  3. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan and sauté thinly sliced onions until golden brown and caramelized.
  4. 4. Add minced garlic and Preserved Dried Salted Black Beans to the pan, stirring for a minute until aromatic.
  5. 5. Add the marinated chicken pieces to the pan and cook on medium heat until the chicken is browned and partially cooked.
  6. 6. Boil 400 ml water in a separate pot and steep the saffron strands in it for 5 minutes to infuse the color and aroma.
  7. 7. Add the soaked rice to the pot with saffron water, along with salt, and cook until the rice is 70% done.
  8. 8. Layer the partially cooked rice over the chicken mixture in the pan, spreading it evenly.
  9. 9. Cover the pan with a tight-fitting lid and reduce the heat to low, allowing the biryani to steam for 10–15 minutes.
  10. 10. Turn off the heat and let the biryani rest for 5 minutes before uncovering and mixing gently to combine rice and chicken.
