Ingredients
- 80 g Soya Sauce
- 1 pc (approx. 500 g to 800 g) Cabbage
- 250 g Carrot
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 1 bunch Spring Onion
- 1 pack Mushrooms Button
- 200 ml Sesame Oil
- 100 g Rice Paper
- 200 g Table Salt
Instructions
- 1. Prepare the vegetables: Shred the cabbage, grate the carrot, mince the garlic, and julienne the ginger.
- 2. Prepare the mushrooms: Clean and slice the button mushrooms into thin pieces.
- 3. Prepare the spring onions: Slice them thinly, separating the white and green parts.
- 4. Cook the filling: Heat a tablespoon of sesame oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they soften.
- 5. Add the vegetables: Add the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and white parts of the spring onions to the pan. Sauté until the vegetables are just tender.
- 6. Season the filling: Add a splash of soy sauce and a pinch of salt to the vegetable mixture, stirring well to combine.
- 7. Prepare the rice paper: Fill a shallow dish with warm water and soak each sheet of rice paper for a few seconds until soft and pliable.
- 8. Fill the dumplings: Place a spoonful of the filling onto the center of a softened rice paper sheet. Fold the sides over the filling, then roll it to form a tight dumpling.
- 9. Cook the dumplings: Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and lightly brush with sesame oil. Place the dumplings in the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until they are crispy and golden.
- 10. Serve: Arrange the cooked dumplings on a serving platter and garnish with the green parts of the spring onion. Serve with soy sauce for dipping.
