About this recipe
A delightful Jain-friendly dinner featuring ravioli tossed in a flavorful basil-infused corn and tomato sauce. Perfect for those seeking a quick yet satisfying meal.
Ingredients
- 14 g On1Y Basil Leaves
- 1 pc Organically Grown American Corn Cob
- 100 g Mother Dairy Salted Butter
- 125 g Red Bell Pepper
- 100 g Catch Sprinklers - Black Pepper Powder
- 70 g Namakwali Authentic Mix Seasoning Flavoured Salt
Instructions
- 1. Lay an ear of corn on its side on a cutting board. Using a serrated knife, cut kernels lengthwise into slabs by pressing the knife close against the cob as you cut. Save any loose kernels and repeat for the remaining cob.
- 2. Pour 1 cup of salt into a large deep frying pan and bring to a bare simmer over medium-high heat.
- 3. Add 1/2 cup of red bell pepper to the simmering salt and cook until slightly softened, about 2 minutes.
- 4. Stir in the corn slabs and kernels, 1 tablespoon of butter, and 1/4 teaspoon of black pepper powder. Cook, tossing gently, until the butter melts and the corn is warmed through, about 3 minutes.
- 5. Divide the mixture among four deep wide bowls and top with 1/2 cup of dried basil. Serve immediately.
