Ingredients

  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 500 g Moong Dal
  • - Coriander Powder
  • - Cumin Seeds / Jeera Seeds-250 Gms
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1 ltr Pansari Tilsari Edible Vegetable Oil
  • 1 kg Water Chestnuts

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and soak the moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight for better texture.
  2. 2. Drain the dal and blend it with green chili, turmeric, salt, and water until smooth.
  3. 3. Add chopped coriander leaves and cumin seeds to the batter, mixing well to combine.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with oil to prevent sticking.
  5. 5. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it into a thin pancake using the back of the spoon.
  6. 6. Cook the pancake on medium heat until golden brown on one side, about 2-3 minutes.
  7. 7. Flip the pancake carefully and cook the other side until evenly browned.
  8. 8. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, adding oil as needed for the pan.
  9. 9. Serve the pancakes hot with chutney or a squeeze of lemon juice for a fresh tang.
