Ingredients
- 500 g Onion
- 250g Green Chilli
- - Coriander Powder
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 125 ml Flavoured Yogurt Drink - Mango
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 100 g Garlic
- 200 g Black Salt
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and soak the moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight, then drain it completely.
- 2. Blend the soaked dal with ginger, green chili, and water to form a smooth batter.
- 3. Finely chop the onion and coriander leaves, then mix them into the batter with salt, cumin seeds, and turmeric powder.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with oil before pouring a ladle of batter to form a thin chilla.
- 5. Cook the chilla on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until golden, then flip and cook the other side.
- 6. Repeat with the remaining batter to make additional chillas, keeping them warm as you proceed.
- 7. For the chutney, blend mint leaves, yogurt, lemon juice, garlic, and black salt until smooth.
- 8. Adjust the consistency of the chutney with water if needed, ensuring it remains thick and creamy.
- 9. Serve the hot moong dal chillas with a generous side of mint chutney for dipping.
