Ingredients
- 200 g Itc Master Chef Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Frozen)
- 1 kg Rice
- - Onion-250 Gms
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- 1 pack (100 g) Everest - Ginger Garlic Paste
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 100 g Catch Super Garam Masala
- - Coriander Powder
- 850 g Sundrop Heart+ Blended Cooking Oil
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under running water and soak it for 15 minutes.
- 2. In a pot, heat 1 tbsp of oil and add cumin seeds until they crackle.
- 3. Add the soaked rice, 300 ml of water, and a pinch of salt, then cover and cook until rice is fluffy.
- 4. Heat the remaining oil in a pan and sauté sliced onions until golden brown.
- 5. Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until the raw aroma disappears.
- 6. Stir in chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and a pinch of salt. Cook until tomatoes soften.
- 7. Add the prawns to the pan and stir well to coat them in the masala.
- 8. Cover and cook the prawns for 5-7 minutes until they are fully cooked and tender.
- 9. Sprinkle garam masala and mix well before turning off the heat.
- 10. Garnish the prawn masala with fresh coriander leaves.
- 11. Serve the prawn masala hot alongside the fragrant jeera rice.
