Ingredients
- - Wholegrain Rolled Oats
- 200 ml Coconut Milk
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250g Green Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 100G Oleo
Instructions
- 1. Wash and devein the prawns thoroughly and set them aside to drain.
- 2. Peel and finely chop the onion, tomato, garlic, ginger, and green chili.
- 3. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown.
- 4. Add garlic, ginger, and green chili, and cook for another minute until fragrant.
- 5. Stir in the turmeric, red chili powder, cumin, and coriander powder, mixing well.
- 6. Add chopped tomato and cook until softened and the spices are well combined.
- 7. Add the prawns and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and start to cook through.
- 8. Pour in the coconut milk and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.
- 9. Meanwhile, in a separate pan, dry roast the oats for 2 minutes until slightly toasted.
- 10. Add the oats to the prawn masala mixture and stir continuously to prevent lumps.
- 11. Cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat until the oats absorb the liquid and thicken.
- 12. Adjust salt and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
- 13. Serve hot in bowls, ensuring a few prawns are visible on top for presentation.
