Ingredients

  • 80 g Soya Chunks
  • 1 kg Rice
  • 500 g Minimeal Onion
  • 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 1 pack (100 g) Everest - Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 100 g Catch Super Garam Masala
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak the soy chunks in boiling water for 10 minutes until softened.
  2. 2. Rinse the soy chunks thoroughly and squeeze out excess water.
  3. 3. Cook the rice in a pot with 400 ml water and a pinch of salt until fluffy.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a pan and sauté finely chopped onions until golden brown.
  5. 5. Add ginger garlic paste and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  6. 6. Stir in chopped tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric, chili powder, and coriander powder.
  7. 7. Cook the mixture until the tomatoes soften and the spices are well blended.
  8. 8. Add the soy chunks and mix well to coat them in the masala mixture.
  9. 9. Sprinkle garam masala and salt, stirring continuously for 5 minutes.
  10. 10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and allow the flavors to meld for 2 minutes.
