Lamb Kofta with Spiced Millet Pilaf recipe

Ingredients

  • 500 Grms Bajra Atta Millets Atta 500 Grms
  • 500 g Onion
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli
  • 45 g Garam Masala
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 50 g Black Pepper
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. In a bowl, mix ground lamb with ginger-garlic paste, salt, pepper, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and chili powder.
  2. 2. Form the lamb mixture into small kofta balls and set aside.
  3. 3. Heat oil in a pan and sear the lamb kofta until browned on all sides, then remove and set aside.
  4. 4. In the same pan, sauté chopped onions until golden and aromatic.
  5. 5. Add millet to the pan and toast lightly for 2 minutes to enhance flavor.
  6. 6. Stir in garam masala and salt, then add water and bring to a boil.
  7. 7. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook millet until tender and water is absorbed, about 15 minutes.
  8. 8. Add the browned kofta to the millet and let cook together for 5 minutes to blend flavors.
  9. 9. Garnish with freshly chopped cilantro and serve hot.
