Ingredients
- 10 pcs Prawns
- 200 ml Coconut Milk
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 500 g Onion
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 250g Green Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Sugar
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Wash the prawns thoroughly and marinate them with turmeric powder and salt for 10 minutes.
- 2. Heat mustard oil in a pan and lightly fry the prawns until golden, then set aside.
- 3. In the same pan, sauté finely chopped onions, garlic, and ginger until aromatic and golden brown.
- 4. Add the green chilies, cumin powder, coriander powder, and a pinch of sugar. Stir well for 2 minutes.
- 5. Pour the coconut milk into the pan, mix thoroughly, and bring to a simmer.
- 6. Return the fried prawns to the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes until they absorb the flavors.
- 7. Meanwhile, rinse the basmati rice and cook it in boiling water until fluffy. Drain and keep warm.
- 8. Adjust the curry's seasoning with salt, ensuring the balance of flavors.
- 9. Serve the prawn malai curry hot alongside the steamed rice.
