Ingredients
- 1 Kg Female Mackerel
- - Dark Soy Sauce-90 GM
- - Rice Vinegar
- 100 g Dabur Honey
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- 1 ltr Anveshan Cold Pressed Black Sesame Oil
- 1 kg Rice
- - Frozen Mixed Vegetables
- 300 G Assorted Chilli Pepper Sb Shichimi Tougarashi
- 200 G Spring Onion(200Gm)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly and cook it in a pot with 300 ml of water over medium heat until fluffy.
- 2. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, rice vinegar, honey, minced garlic, and sesame oil to create a glaze.
- 3. Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add a small drizzle of sesame oil.
- 4. Place the mackerel fillets in the pan skin-side down, cooking for 4 minutes until the skin turns crisp.
- 5. Flip the mackerel and pour the prepared glaze over the fillets evenly.
- 6. Allow the glaze to simmer and thicken for 3–4 minutes, spooning it over the fillets occasionally.
- 7. In a separate pan, stir-fry the frozen mixed vegetables with a pinch of salt and the shichimi togarashi for 5 minutes.
- 8. Plate the steamed rice in bowls and arrange the stir-fried vegetables alongside.
- 9. Place the glazed mackerel fillets over the rice and drizzle any remaining glaze from the pan.
- 10. Garnish with sliced spring onions and serve immediately for a flavorful dinner.
