  • loose Ginger
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 25 g Whole Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear, then set aside.
  2. 2. In a medium saucepan, combine the rice and water with a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the rice is cooked and fluffy, about 15 minutes.
  3. 3. While the rice cooks, prepare the chicken marinade by mixing soy sauce, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and black pepper in a small bowl.
  4. 4. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and let them sit for 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  5. 5. Heat sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked.
  6. 6. Remove the chicken from the skillet and let it rest for 2 minutes. Pour any remaining marinade into the skillet and simmer until slightly thickened.
  7. 7. Toast sesame seeds in a dry pan over low heat until lightly browned and aromatic, then remove from heat.
  8. 8. Chop the spring onions finely and set them aside for garnishing.
  9. 9. Fluff the cooked rice with a fork and drizzle a small amount of sesame oil over it, then mix in the toasted sesame seeds.
  10. 10. Slice the cooked chicken and serve it over the sesame rice, garnishing with chopped spring onions and extra sesame seeds.
