Ingredients
- - Foxtail Millet Flour
- - Masoor Dal
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 200 ml Coconut Milk
- 250g Green Chilli
- 50 Grms Kala Masala Handmade Spices 50 Grms
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Jeera
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the millet and lentils thoroughly under running water and set them aside.
- 2. Heat oil in a deep pan and add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cardamom, and cinnamon; sauté until aromatic.
- 3. Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown, then mix in ginger-garlic paste and green chilies.
- 4. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until they soften and blend with the spices.
- 5. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt; mix well to create a flavorful base.
- 6. Pour in coconut milk and water, stirring to combine with the spices evenly.
- 7. Add the rinsed millet and lentils to the pan, mixing them into the liquid base.
- 8. Cover the pan and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 9. Check if the millet and lentils are cooked thoroughly and adjust seasoning if needed.
- 10. Garnish the biryani with fresh coriander leaves and serve warm.
