Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 2 ltr Figaro Extra Light Olive Oil
- 500 G Preserved Dried Salted Black Beans
- 200 g Fortune Soya Mini Chunks
- 200 g Hommade Tomato Puree
Instructions
- 1. In a skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat and sauté 1 diced onion until translucent, about 5 minutes.
- 2. In a bowl, soak 400 g of soya chunks in hot water for about 10 minutes until rehydrated, then drain. Add the soya chunks to the skillet and cook until browned, breaking them up with a spoon, about 5-7 minutes.
- 3. In a crockpot, layer the cooked soya chunks, 2 cans of beans (drained and rinsed), and 2 cans of tomato puree.
- 4. Pour 3 cups of water over the layers in the crockpot. Do not stir.
- 5. Cover and cook on low for 8 hours, or until the flavors are well combined and the stew is heated through.
- 6. Stir the stew gently before serving. Serve hot with your favorite bread or over rice for a complete meal.
