Ingredients
- 100 g Sambar Onion Peeled
- 500 g Carrot
- 250 g Organically Grown Green Capsicum
- 125 g Mooz Butter Garlic & Herbes
- 200 g Delichic Chicken Broth
- 500 g 24 Mantra Organic Malka Masoor
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Everyday Long Grain Rice
- 80 g Urban Platter Cayenne Pepper Powder
- 250 g Vistevia Sugar Free Tomato Sauce
Instructions
- 1. In a large saucepan, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium heat. Add 2 diced onions, 4 chopped carrots, and 1 diced green pepper. Saute for 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are softened.
- 2. Pour in 10 oz of chicken broth and 2 cups of water. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- 3. Stir in 1 cup of lentils and 1/4 teaspoon of cayenne pepper. Reduce the heat to low, cover, and let it simmer for 25 minutes.
- 4. Add 1/2 cup of rice to the saucepan and stir well. Cover again and simmer for an additional 20 minutes, or until the rice is tender and the liquid is mostly absorbed.
- 5. Stir in 28 oz of tomato sauce and cook for another 5-7 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld and the liquid to be fully absorbed.
- 6. Remove from heat and let the pilaf rest for a few minutes before serving. Serve warm as a complete and satisfying dinner.
