- 100 ml Oleev Olivana Natural Olive Oil (Bottle)
- 200 g Hommade Tomato Puree
- 16 g Orika Oregano
- 1 kg Nutty Yogi Oats Flour (Gluten Free)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- 2. Instead of lasagna noodles, use the Pastazara Lasagne Gialle. Cook according to package directions. Drain and pat dry.
- 3. In a medium saucepan, heat 1/2 cup olive oil over medium heat. Stir in 2 cups tomato puree and 1 teaspoon oregano. Let simmer for 5 minutes.
- 4. Spread 2 tablespoons of chopped frozen spinach (defrosted and drained) across one end of a lasagne sheet, about 1 inch from the edge. Sprinkle with a pinch of garlic seasoning.
- 5. Spread 2 tablespoons of ricotta cheese over the spinach. Arrange 1/8 of 8 ounces of sliced halal turkey slices (cut into small pieces) over the spinach and top with 1/8 of 8 ounces of mozzarella cheese (cut into small pieces). Roll up the lasagne sheet around the filling. Repeat with the remaining sheets and filling.
- 6. In a small mixing bowl, whisk 1 egg and 1/4 cup milk together. Tear 2 slices of white sandwich bread (crusts removed) into pieces, add to the egg mixture, and let soak for a few minutes.
- 7. Place 8 ounces of halal ground beef in a medium mixing bowl. Add the egg-bread mixture, 1 teaspoon salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well and form the mixture into 12 (1-inch) meatballs.
- 8. In a medium bowl, combine 1/4 cup oats flour and 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Roll the meatballs in the bread crumb mixture to coat evenly.
- 9. Heat 2 tablespoons vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs and cook until browned, about 1 minute per side. Transfer to a baking sheet and bake until cooked through, about 15 minutes.
- 10. Spoon 1/4 cup of the tomato puree into the large compartment of each of 4 ovenproof TV dinner trays or 4 (8 by 8-inch) disposable aluminum baking pans. Place 2 lasagne roll-ups and 3 meatballs over the sauce in each tray.
- 11. Spoon the remaining tomato puree over the top of the roll-ups and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
- 12. Divide 1 cup of frozen spinach among one of the remaining compartments in each tray and top each with 1 pat of butter.
- 13. Place a piece of brownie dough in each of the remaining compartments.
- 14. Cover the trays tightly with aluminum foil and freeze until ready to use, up to 3 months.
- 15. When ready to bake, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Let the dinners stand at room temperature for 5 minutes.
- 16. Uncover the brownie compartment and bake the dinners until heated through, about 35 to 40 minutes.
- 17. Serve immediately and enjoy your halal lasagna roll-up dinner!
