Ingredients

  • 500 g Chana Dal
  • 500 g Toor Dal
  • - Rice Flour
  • 250 g Spinach
  • - Tomato Ketchup
  • 200 ml Coconut Milk
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Cumin Seeds 100g
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • 100 g Salt
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak the chana dal and toor dal in water for 4 hours, then drain and rinse well.
  2. 2. Blend the soaked lentils into a smooth batter using a little water, ensuring it has a thick consistency.
  3. 3. Mix the lentil batter with rice flour, turmeric powder, salt, and coconut milk until well combined.
  4. 4. Wash and finely chop the spinach, tomatoes, and green chilies, and stir them into the batter.
  5. 5. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and let them sizzle before mixing them into the batter.
  6. 6. Grease a baking dish with 1 tablespoon of oil and pour the batter evenly into the dish.
  7. 7. Preheat the oven to 180°C and bake the batter for 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
