About this recipe
A hearty English-style breakfast fry-up with golden paneer, buttery mushrooms, and wilted spinach. Sharp mustard lifts the savoury flavours, while the pan-seared finish keeps every bite rich, warm, and satisfying.
Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer
- 1 pack Mushrooms Button
- 250 g Spinach
- - Thyme
- 1 liter Sunflower Oil
- Pcs Dr English Mustard
- 100 g Salt
- 50 g Black Pepper
- 100 g Pasteurised Butter
Instructions
- 1. Wipe the mushrooms clean, then slice them thickly so they keep a meaty bite in the pan.
- 2. Cut the paneer into chunky fingers or cubes, and season them with salt and black pepper.
- 3. Warm the butter and cooking oil in a wide skillet over medium heat until the butter foams gently.
- 4. Add the paneer pieces and sear them for 2 to 3 minutes per side until the edges turn golden.
- 5. Tip in the mushrooms and dried thyme, then cook until the mushrooms soften and start to brown.
- 6. Stir in the spinach and mustard, tossing just until the leaves wilt and the pan looks glossy.
- 7. Taste, adjust the seasoning lightly if needed, and serve the fry-up hot straight from the skillet.
