Golden Tofu and Vegetable Biryani recipe

Ingredients

  • - Besan
  • 500 g Curd
  • 1 box Baking Soda
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 200 g Table Salt
  • Pcs Ajwain 50g
  • 500 Ml Champion Oil
  • 25 g Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 1 kg Basmati Rice
  • 500 g Onion
  • 1 Kg Kissan Tomato Puree
  • 200 ml Coconut Milk
  • 100 g Jeera
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli
  • 45 g Garam Masala
  • 100 g Salt
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
  2. 2. Cut the tofu into cubes and lightly pan-fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown.
  3. 3. Chop the carrots, green beans, and onion into small pieces and set aside.
  4. 4. Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for 30 seconds.
  5. 5. Add the chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Mix in the ginger garlic paste, turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala, cooking for 1 minute.
  7. 7. Stir in the tomato puree and cook until the oil begins to separate from the mixture.
  8. 8. Add the chopped vegetables and sauté for 3-4 minutes to combine the flavors.
  9. 9. Pour in the coconut milk and water, followed by the soaked rice and fried tofu.
  10. 10. Add salt and gently stir everything together before covering the pan with a lid.
  11. 11. Simmer the biryani on low heat for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is fully cooked.
  12. 12. Garnish the biryani with freshly chopped coriander leaves before serving warm.
