Ingredients
- 500G Loose Besan
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Wash and chop the spinach leaves, onion, tomato, and coriander finely.
- 2. In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, water, turmeric, red chili powder, cumin seeds, and salt to form a smooth batter.
- 3. Crumble the tofu into small chunks and mix it with the chopped spinach, onion, tomato, and green chili.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil using a brush or spoon.
- 5. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread it evenly into a thin circular shape.
- 6. Add the tofu-spinach mixture evenly on top of the cheela while it cooks.
- 7. Drizzle some oil around the edges and let it cook until golden brown on the bottom side.
- 8. Flip the cheela carefully and cook the other side for 2-3 minutes until crisp.
- 9. Repeat the process for the remaining batter and filling to make more cheelas.
- 10. Serve hot with a garnish of fresh coriander leaves and your favorite chutney.
