Ingredients

  • 500G Loose Besan
  • - Rice Flour
  • - Red Chilli
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1pc Watermelon
  • - Coriander Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and pat dry the tilapia fish fillets, then cut them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix chickpea flour, rice flour, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt.
  3. 3. Gradually add water to the flour mixture to create a thick, lump-free batter.
  4. 4. Finely chop the coriander leaves and mix them into the batter for added freshness.
  5. 5. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium heat until it’s hot enough for frying.
  6. 6. Dip each fish piece into the batter, ensuring it is fully coated.
  7. 7. Carefully place the batter-coated fish pieces into the hot oil and fry until golden and crispy.
  8. 8. Remove the pakoras with a slotted spoon and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  9. 9. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve warm with mint chutney or ketchup.
