Ingredients
- 80 g Soya Chunks
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250 g Carrot
- - Green Peas
- 50 g Vanilla Bean Paste
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 45 g Garam Masala
- - Bay Leaf
- 100 Gms Organic Cinnamon Stick
- 50 g Cloves
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 100 g Salt
- 1 kg Water Chestnuts
- - Coriander Powder
- 25 g Ginger Garlic Paste
Instructions
- 1. Soak the soy chunks in warm water for 10 minutes and squeeze out excess water.
- 2. Wash and rinse the basmati rice, then soak it in water for 15 minutes.
- 3. Heat oil in a pan and add bay leaf, cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves to release their aroma.
- 4. Add sliced onions and sauté until golden brown, stirring frequently.
- 5. Mix in ginger-garlic paste and cook for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- 6. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, and red chili powder; cook until tomatoes are soft.
- 7. Stir in carrots, green peas, and soy chunks, ensuring they are coated with the spices.
- 8. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan, mixing gently with the vegetables and soy chunks.
- 9. Pour water and season with salt; cover and cook on low heat for 15 minutes.
- 10. Sprinkle garam masala and fresh coriander before serving hot.
