Ingredients
- 10 pcs Prawns
- - Rice Flour
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250g Green Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1pc Watermelon
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
Instructions
- 1. Clean and devein the prawns thoroughly, then pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2. Heat oil in a pan, add cumin seeds, and sauté until aromatic.
- 3. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown and caramelized.
- 4. Mix in ginger-garlic paste and cook for another minute until the raw smell disappears.
- 5. Add chopped tomatoes, green chilies, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are softened.
- 6. Add the prawns to the masala and stir well to coat them evenly. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the prawns are tender.
- 7. Garnish the masala with freshly chopped coriander leaves and set it aside to cool slightly.
- 8. In a bowl, mix rice flour with water to form a soft dough. Roll it out into thin sheets.
- 9. Cut the dough sheets into squares or circles, depending on your preference.
- 10. Place a spoonful of prawn masala filling in the center of each square and fold into a puff shape.
- 11. Seal the edges carefully using a fork to create an appealing pattern.
- 12. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the puffs in batches until golden and crispy.
- 13. Remove the puffs from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
- 14. Serve hot with a side of mint chutney or ketchup for dipping.
