A flavorful bowl of golden turmeric-paneer cubes sautéed with fresh spinach and served over aromatic basmati rice. Packed with nutrients and spices for a hearty lunch.
Ingredients
- 200 g Paneer
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 250 g Spinach
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 500 g Onion
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly under cold water and soak for 10 minutes.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- 3. Add finely chopped onion, garlic, ginger, and green chilies, sautéing until golden brown.
- 4. Stir in turmeric powder and salt, mixing well to create a fragrant spice base.
- 5. Add cubed paneer to the pan, tossing gently to coat in the spices and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- 6. Wash and chop spinach, then add it to the pan, cooking until wilted and blended with paneer.
- 7. In a separate pot, bring 300 ml of water to a boil and add the soaked rice with a pinch of salt.
- 8. Cover and cook the rice on low heat for 15 minutes, ensuring it absorbs all the water and remains fluffy.
- 9. Layer the cooked rice into serving bowls and top generously with the paneer-spinach mixture.
- 10. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves for added flavor and visual appeal.
