- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 1 pack (500 g) Bhagyalakshmi Rice Flour
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- - Ginger Powder
- - White Pepper
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and soak yellow moong dal in water for 4 hours, then drain and grind into a smooth batter with water.
- 2. Add rice flour, fresh turmeric, salt, red chili powder, and cumin seeds to the batter and mix well to form a smooth consistency.
- 3. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease with mustard oil to prevent sticking.
- 4. Pour a ladleful of batter onto the pan and spread evenly to form a thin pancake; cook until golden brown on both sides.
- 5. Dice tomatoes finely and sauté them with mustard oil, ginger powder, white pepper, and salt to create the spiced tomato relish.
- 6. Cook the relish on medium heat until the tomatoes break down into a thick, flavorful mixture.
- 7. Chop coriander leaves finely and mix them into the tomato relish for added freshness.
