Ingredients

  • 500 g Moong Dal
  • 1 Bunch Mint Leaves
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
  • - Rice Flour
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • - Coriander Powder
  • - Cumin Seeds / Jeera Seeds-250 Gms
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1 kg Water Chestnuts
  • 850 g Sundrop Heart+ Blended Cooking Oil
  • 200 ml Coconut Milk

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 3-4 hours.
  2. 2. Drain the soaked dal and blend it into a smooth batter with green chilies, coriander, turmeric, cumin, and water.
  3. 3. Add rice flour and salt to the batter, mixing well to achieve a semi-thick consistency.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan and drizzle a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  5. 5. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it out evenly to form a pancake.
  6. 6. Cook the pancake on medium heat until golden brown on one side, then flip and cook the other side.
  7. 7. Repeat the process for the remaining batter, adding oil as needed for each pancake.
  8. 8. To prepare the mint chutney, blend mint leaves, coconut milk, lemon juice, garlic, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
  9. 9. Transfer the chutney to a serving bowl and adjust seasoning if necessary.
