Ingredients

  • 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
  • - Rice Flour
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • loose Ginger
  • 100 g Coriander Leaves
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1 piece Coconut
  • 100 g Curry Leaves
  • 100 g Yellow Mustard Seeds
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Soak the moong dal for 4-5 hours or overnight, then drain and rinse thoroughly.
  2. 2. Blend the soaked moong dal with green chilies, ginger, and water to create a smooth batter.
  3. 3. Add rice flour, salt, and chopped coriander leaves to the batter, mixing until evenly combined.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with vegetable oil.
  5. 5. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it gently to form a pancake shape.
  6. 6. Cook the pancake for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden brown and crisp.
  7. 7. For the chutney, blend grated coconut, curry leaves, mustard seeds, and lemon juice with a little water.
  8. 8. Heat a small pan with oil, crackle mustard seeds, and add the blended chutney mixture. Cook for a minute.
  9. 9. Serve the moong dal pancakes hot with the coconut chutney on the side.
