Thin, crispy moong dal chillas wrapped around a hearty spiced vegetable filling, perfect for a protein-packed breakfast.
Ingredients
- 1pc Watermelon
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Jeera
- 100 g Salt
- 500 g Onion
- 250 g Carrot
- 1 piece Yellow Bell Pepper
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 100 g Coriander Leaves
- 250g Green Chilli
- - Coriander Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
Instructions
- 1. Soak the split green moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight.
- 2. Blend the moong dal with water, turmeric, cumin, and salt to form a smooth batter.
- 3. Heat a non-stick pan and spread a ladle of batter thinly to make a chilla.
- 4. Cook each chilla for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
- 5. Chop the onion, carrot, capsicum, tomato, coriander leaves, and green chili finely.
- 6. Heat oil in a pan and sauté the chopped vegetables with coriander powder and red chili powder.
- 7. Cook until the vegetables are tender and spices are well blended, then set aside to cool slightly.
- 8. Place a portion of the spiced vegetable filling onto each chilla.
- 9. Roll the chilla tightly around the filling to form wraps.
- 10. Serve hot, garnished with fresh coriander leaves if desired.
