- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 250 g Spinach
- - Rice Flour
- loose Ginger
- 250g Green Chilli
- 100 g Dhaniya Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 100G Oleo
- - Coriander Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the yellow moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- 2. Wash the spinach, remove stems, and finely chop the leaves.
- 3. Grind the soaked moong dal into a coarse paste using minimal water.
- 4. In a mixing bowl, combine moong dal paste, chopped spinach, rice flour, grated ginger, minced green chili, and spices.
- 5. Add salt to the mixture and mix well to form a dough-like consistency.
- 6. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat for shallow frying.
- 7. Divide the mixture into equal portions and shape each into flat pattices.
- 8. Place the pattices in the pan and cook until golden brown on both sides, flipping occasionally.
- 9. Remove the cooked pattices from the pan and drain excess oil on a paper towel.
- 10. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve warm with mint chutney or tomato ketchup.
