Golden Moong Dal and Oats Pancakes recipe

Ingredients

  • - Wholegrain Rolled Oats
  • 125 ml Flavoured Yogurt Drink - Mango
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 100 g Salt
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
  • 1pc Watermelon

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse and soak the split green moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight.
  2. 2. Drain the soaked dal and blend it with green chilies, turmeric, cumin, and a little water to form a smooth batter.
  3. 3. Add rolled oats, yogurt, salt, and lemon juice to the batter and mix well.
  4. 4. Chop the fresh coriander leaves and fold them into the batter for added flavor.
  5. 5. Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil using a brush or spoon.
  6. 6. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it gently to form a medium-sized pancake.
  7. 7. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until bubbles appear and the edges lift slightly.
  8. 8. Flip the pancake carefully and cook the other side for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
  9. 9. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
  10. 10. Serve the pancakes hot with a side of mint chutney or tomato ketchup for dipping.
