Wholesome pancakes made with moong dal and oats, packed with protein and perfect for a satisfying breakfast.
Ingredients
- - Wholegrain Rolled Oats
- 125 ml Flavoured Yogurt Drink - Mango
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 250g Green Chilli
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- 250 ml Lemon Juice Concentrate
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse and soak the split green moong dal in water for 4 hours or overnight.
- 2. Drain the soaked dal and blend it with green chilies, turmeric, cumin, and a little water to form a smooth batter.
- 3. Add rolled oats, yogurt, salt, and lemon juice to the batter and mix well.
- 4. Chop the fresh coriander leaves and fold them into the batter for added flavor.
- 5. Heat a non-stick pan and grease it lightly with oil using a brush or spoon.
- 6. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread it gently to form a medium-sized pancake.
- 7. Cook on medium heat for 2-3 minutes until bubbles appear and the edges lift slightly.
- 8. Flip the pancake carefully and cook the other side for another 2 minutes until golden brown.
- 9. Repeat the process with the remaining batter, greasing the pan as needed.
- 10. Serve the pancakes hot with a side of mint chutney or tomato ketchup for dipping.
