Ingredients
- 500 g Whole Farm Premium Kangni/Foxtail Millet
- 200 g Orange Carrot (Gajar)
- - GREEN PEAS 195GM
- 250 g French Beans
- - Onion-250 Gms
- loose Ginger
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 50 g Pluckk Organic Curry Leaves
- 100 g Orika Big Mustard Seeds
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 850 g Sundrop Heart+ Blended Cooking Oil
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the foxtail millet thoroughly under running water and set aside to drain.
- 2. Dice the carrot, green beans, and onion into small pieces and finely chop the ginger and green chilies.
- 3. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat, then add mustard seeds and let them splutter before adding cumin seeds and curry leaves.
- 4. Add chopped onions, green chilies, and ginger to the pan and sauté until the onions become translucent.
- 5. Stir in the diced carrots, green beans, and green peas, cooking for 3-4 minutes until slightly softened.
- 6. Sprinkle turmeric powder and salt over the vegetables, mixing well to coat them evenly.
- 7. Add the rinsed millet to the pan, mixing it with the vegetables to combine flavors.
- 8. Pour water into the pan and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover the pan with a lid.
- 9. Cook the millet and vegetables for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the millet absorbs the water and becomes tender.
- 10. Remove the lid and fluff the millet with a fork, ensuring it’s evenly cooked and mixed with the vegetables.
- 11. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves before serving.
