- - Proso Millet Flour
- - Frozen Mixed Vegetables
- - MF GARLIC CLOVES 100GM
- - Onion-250 Gms
- - Ginger Powder
- 100 g Mix Seeds
- 100 g Orika Big Mustard Seeds
- 50 g Pluckk Organic Curry Leaves
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 140 g Modern Kitchens Raita Boondi - 100 % Rice Bran Oil
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the millet thoroughly under running water and soak for 15 minutes.
- 2. Finely chop the onion, garlic cloves, and green chili. Set them aside.
- 3. Heat the cooking oil in a pan over medium heat and add mustard seeds until they splutter.
- 4. Add curry leaves, chopped garlic, and green chili to the pan, sautéing for 1 minute.
- 5. Add the chopped onion and cook until it becomes translucent, stirring occasionally.
- 6. Mix in the ginger powder and Suvarna Dal Makhani Spice Mix, cooking for another minute to release the aroma.
- 7. Add the frozen mixed vegetables to the pan and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they soften slightly.
- 8. Drain the soaked millet and add it to the pan, stirring well to coat with the spices.
- 9. Pour in the water and bring the mixture to a boil over high heat.
- 10. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan, and let the millet cook for about 10-12 minutes until it absorbs the water and fluffs up.
- 11. Stir the upma gently to mix the vegetables and fluff the millet further.
- 12. Season with salt and cook for an additional 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 13. Turn off the heat and let the upma sit covered for 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
