- - Foxtail Millet Flour
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 100 Gms Organic Coriander Seeds
- - Cumin Seed
- 1 l Soyabean Oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the foxtail millet and red lentils thoroughly under running water and set aside.
- 2. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan over medium flame and add cumin seeds until aromatic.
- 3. Finely chop onions, ginger, and tomatoes, then sauté onions and ginger in the pan until golden brown.
- 4. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and coriander powder, stirring well to make a thick masala base.
- 5. Mix the rinsed millet and lentils into the masala, ensuring they are evenly coated with spices.
- 6. Pour water into the pan, add salt, and bring the mixture to a boil while stirring occasionally.
- 7. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pan with a lid, and let the medley simmer for 20 minutes until millet and lentils are cooked through.
- 8. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking and ensure the consistency is creamy and well-blended.
- 9. Chop fresh coriander leaves finely and garnish the dish generously before serving.
- 10. Serve hot in bowls with a side of lemon wedges for added zest.
