Ingredients

  • - MASOOR DAL SPECIAL 500GM
  • 1 Kg Spinach/Palak (Approx 1 Kg)
  • - Onion-250 Gms
  • 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • loose Ginger
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Coriander Powder
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)

Instructions

  1. 1. Rinse the red lentils thoroughly under running water and set them aside.
  2. 2. Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for a few seconds.
  3. 3. Add finely chopped garlic, ginger, and green chillies to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  4. 4. Stir in diced onions, cooking until they turn golden and soft.
  5. 5. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt, then cook until the spices blend and the tomatoes soften.
  6. 6. Pour in the rinsed lentils and water, stirring well to combine.
  7. 7. Cover the pan and let the lentils cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  8. 8. Once the lentils are tender, add fresh spinach leaves to the pan and cook until wilted.
