Ingredients
- - MASOOR DAL SPECIAL 500GM
- 1 Kg Spinach/Palak (Approx 1 Kg)
- - Onion-250 Gms
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- loose Ginger
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Coriander Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the red lentils thoroughly under running water and set them aside.
- 2. Heat oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for a few seconds.
- 3. Add finely chopped garlic, ginger, and green chillies to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
- 4. Stir in diced onions, cooking until they turn golden and soft.
- 5. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, coriander powder, and salt, then cook until the spices blend and the tomatoes soften.
- 6. Pour in the rinsed lentils and water, stirring well to combine.
- 7. Cover the pan and let the lentils cook over medium heat for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- 8. Once the lentils are tender, add fresh spinach leaves to the pan and cook until wilted.
- 9. Adjust seasoning if needed and mix everything thoroughly.
- 10. Serve hot with steamed rice or enjoy as a standalone high-protein dish.
