A wholesome pilaf combining protein-rich lentils and quinoa, infused with fragrant Indian spices for a satisfying lunch.
Ingredients
- 250 g Spinach
- 250 gm Sweet Corn Kernels
- 20G Chitale Bandhu Cheese Cube
- 200 g Table Salt
- 50 g Black Pepper
- 100 g Quinoa
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250g Green Chilli
- 300 g Ginger Paste
- - Garlic Paste
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 45 g Garam Masala
- - Coriander Powder
- 100G Oleo
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the quinoa and lentils thoroughly under running water and set aside.
- 2. Heat oil in a deep pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for a few seconds.
- 3. Add finely chopped onions and sauté until golden brown, stirring frequently.
- 4. Stir in ginger paste, garlic paste, and chopped green chilies, cooking for 2 minutes.
- 5. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt, cooking until tomatoes soften.
- 6. Mix the rinsed lentils and quinoa into the pan, stirring to coat with the spices.
- 7. Pour in water and bring the mixture to a boil; reduce heat to a simmer.
- 8. Cover the pan and cook for 20 minutes until the quinoa and lentils are tender.
- 9. Stir in garam masala and chopped coriander leaves, allowing flavors to meld for 2 minutes.
- 10. Let the pilaf rest for 5 minutes before serving to absorb any remaining liquids.
