Ingredients

  • 1 kg Rice
  • 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
  • 500 g Spt Frozen Mixed Vegetables
  • 200 ml Mustard Oil
  • 500 g Onion
  • 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • - Bay Leaf
  • 200 g Chukde Cumin Seeds / Jeera Seeds
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 200 G Rock Salt Powder - Sprinkler 200 G

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash the rice and yellow moong dal thoroughly and soak them in water for 15 minutes.
  2. 2. Heat mustard oil in a rice cooker and add cumin seeds and bay leaf, letting them sizzle for 30 seconds.
  3. 3. Add chopped onion, garlic, and green chilies to the cooker and sauté until the onions turn golden brown.
  4. 4. Stir in turmeric powder and mix well with the sautéed onions and spices.
  5. 5. Add the soaked rice and dal to the cooker and stir gently to coat with the spices.
  6. 6. Pour in 600 ml of water and add rock salt, ensuring everything is evenly mixed.
  7. 7. Add frozen mixed vegetables and spread them evenly across the mixture.
  8. 8. Close the rice cooker lid and cook on the standard rice setting until everything is tender and cooked through.
