- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 1 Kg Star Jsr L Kolam Rice1kg
- 500 g Spt Frozen Mixed Vegetables
- 50 g Cloves
- 500 g Onion
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - White Pepper
- 25G Kp Mut Suk Mas
- - Ginger Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 140 g Modern Kitchens Raita Boondi - 100 % Rice Bran Oil
- - Coriander Powder
Instructions
- 1. Wash the yellow moong dal and rice under running water until clear and soak them for 20 minutes.
- 2. Finely chop the onion and garlic cloves, and grate the fresh turmeric.
- 3. Heat the cooking oil in a rice cooker on sauté mode and add the chopped onion, garlic, and grated turmeric.
- 4. Stir-fry for 3 minutes until aromatic, then add the buknu spice blend, ginger powder, and white pepper.
- 5. Add the soaked dal and rice, followed by the mixed vegetables, and stir well to coat them with the spices.
- 6. Pour 800 ml of water into the rice cooker and season with salt, ensuring everything is submerged evenly.
- 7. Close the lid and set the rice cooker to cook mode for 25 minutes, letting the khichdi simmer until creamy.
- 8. Once cooked, open the lid and fluff the khichdi to mix the vegetables and lentils evenly.
- 9. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander and serve hot for a comforting lunch.
