Ingredients
- 1 kg Yellow Moong Dal
- 1 Kg Spinach/Palak (Approx 1 Kg)
- - Onion-250 Gms
- medium Chilli Green Long
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 1 pack (500 g) Bhagyalakshmi Rice Flour
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 5 ltr Guinea Filtered Groundnut Oil For Frying & Sauteing
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the yellow moong dal thoroughly and soak it in water for 2 hours to soften.
- 2. Drain the soaked dal and grind it coarsely in a blender with minimal water to form a thick batter.
- 3. Finely chop the spinach leaves, onion, green chilies, ginger, and coriander leaves, and add them to the dal batter.
- 4. Mix in cumin seeds, turmeric powder, red chili powder, rice flour, and salt, blending everything into a uniform mixture.
- 5. Heat oil in a deep pan on medium heat until it is hot enough for frying.
- 6. Shape small portions of the batter into flat fritters using your hands or a spoon.
- 7. Gently slide the fritters into the hot oil and fry them in batches to avoid overcrowding.
- 8. Fry the fritters until golden brown and crispy on both sides, turning occasionally for even cooking.
