- - Red Chilli Powder
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Everyday Long Grain Rice
- 250 g Spinach
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- - Garlic Powder
- - Ginger Powder
- - Cumin Seeds / Jeera Seeds-250 Gms
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 500 G Preserved Dried Salted Black Beans
- 1 ltr Pansari Tilsari Edible Vegetable Oil
- 100 g Salt
- 1 kg Water Chestnuts
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the lentils and rice separately under running water until the water runs clear.
- 2. Heat vegetable oil in a large pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- 3. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- 4. Stir in garlic powder, ginger powder, turmeric, and red chili powder, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 5. Add diced tomato and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
- 6. Mix in the lentils and preserved dried salted black beans, stirring well to coat with spices.
- 7. Pour in 400 ml of water, bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 8. Add the rice and remaining 200 ml of water, stirring gently to combine.
- 9. Cover the pan, reduce heat to low, and cook for 15 minutes until the rice is tender and water absorbed.
- 10. Stir in fresh spinach, allowing it to wilt for 2-3 minutes.
- 11. Adjust salt as needed and fluff the biryani gently with a fork.
- 12. Serve hot and enjoy the rich, fragrant flavors.
