- 1 Kg R.C. Fish
- 1 pack (500 g) Bhagyalakshmi Rice Flour
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 110 g Unpeeled Garlic Cloves
- 100 g Catch Ginger Paste
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Everest Cumin Powder
- - Red Chilli Powder
- 500 g Desi Tomato (Tamatar)
- - Onion-250 Gms
- 25 g Whole Black Pepper
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Rock Salt
- - Tomato Soup
Instructions
- 1. Wash and pat dry the fish chunks, then mince them finely to form a paste.
- 2. Combine the minced fish with rice flour, turmeric, cumin, red chili powder, salt, and chopped coriander leaves in a bowl.
- 3. Add finely chopped green chilies, grated garlic, and ginger paste to the mixture, mixing well to create a smooth dough-like consistency.
- 4. Shape the mixture into small kofta balls, ensuring they are firm and well-packed.
- 5. Heat oil in a deep pan and fry the fish kofta balls until golden brown, then remove and set aside.
- 6. In the same pan, sauté finely chopped onions until golden and aromatic.
- 7. Add grated tomatoes along with turmeric, cumin, red chili powder, and salt, stirring well to combine.
- 8. Cook the tomato mixture until it thickens and the oil begins to separate from the sides of the pan.
- 9. Gradually add water to the pan, stirring to create a smooth gravy base.
- 10. Gently place the fried fish kofta balls into the simmering gravy without stirring too vigorously.
- 11. Cover the pan and cook for 5-7 minutes on low heat, allowing the kofta balls to absorb the flavors of the gravy.
- 12. Garnish the dish with fresh coriander leaves and serve warm with a side of steamed rice or flatbread.
