Ingredients

  • 200 g Itc Master Chef Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Frozen)
  • 1 kg Rice
  • 1 pack (500 g) Bhagyalakshmi Rice Flour
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • - Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 pack (100 g) Everest - Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 50 g Masala Sambhar
  • - KATDARE BLACK PEPPER POWDER 12GM
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 250 ml Keya Lemon Juice
  • 850 g Sundrop Heart+ Blended Cooking Oil
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and clean the prawns thoroughly, then pat them dry with a kitchen towel.
  2. 2. In a bowl, mix rice flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, black pepper, and salt.
  3. 3. Add the prawns to the spice mixture and coat them evenly. Let them marinate for 10 minutes.
  4. 4. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan over medium heat and add the marinated prawns.
  5. 5. Cook the prawns for 4-5 minutes on each side until crispy and golden. Remove and set aside.
  6. 6. In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon of oil and sauté ginger-garlic paste for a minute.
  7. 7. Add rinsed long grain rice to the pan and stir for a minute to toast lightly.
  8. 8. Pour 240 ml of water into the pan, add salt, and let it simmer on low heat until the rice is fully cooked.
  9. 9. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and let it cool slightly.
  10. 10. Plate the rice alongside the crispy prawns and garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves.
  11. 11. Squeeze lemon juice over the prawns for a tangy flavor before serving.
