Ingredients

  • 500 g Haringhata Boneless Frozen Chicken Breast
  • 500 g Whole Farm Premium Kangni/Foxtail Millet
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • loose Ginger
  • 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
  • medium Chilli Green Long
  • - White Pepper
  • 250 ml Keya Lemon Juice
  • 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
  • 500 ml Oil (For Frying)

Instructions

  1. 1. Wash and rinse the foxtail millet thoroughly under running water and set it aside.
  2. 2. Dice the chicken breast into small, bite-sized pieces for even cooking and easier incorporation into the porridge.
  3. 3. Heat the vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot over medium heat for about 1 minute, until shimmering.
  4. 4. Add grated ginger, chopped green chilies, and finely minced fresh turmeric to the hot oil, stirring for 2 minutes to release their aroma.
  5. 5. Add the diced chicken to the pan, season with white pepper and salt, and cook for 4-5 minutes until lightly browned on all sides.
  6. 6. Pour water into the pan, followed by the foxtail millet, and stir well to combine all the ingredients.
  7. 7. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
  8. 8. Once the millet is cooked and the porridge reaches a creamy consistency, turn off the heat and let it rest for 2 minutes.
