- 500G Loose Besan
- 1pc Watermelon
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 50 g Cumin Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Salt
- 1 piece Yellow Bell Pepper
- 250g Green Chilli
- - Coriander Powder
Instructions
- 1. In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, water, turmeric, cumin, red chili powder, and salt to form a smooth batter.
- 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and carrots for 5 minutes.
- 3. Add chopped green chilies and coriander leaves to the sautéed vegetables and cook for 2 more minutes.
- 4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with oil.
- 5. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread evenly to form a thin pancake.
- 6. Cook the pancake on medium heat for 2 minutes until golden brown on one side.
- 7. Flip the pancake and cook the other side for 2 more minutes.
- 8. Place a portion of the spiced vegetable filling on one half of the cooked pancake.
- 9. Fold the pancake over the filling and press gently to seal.
- 10. Cook for an additional minute to ensure the pancake is crisp and the filling is warm.
- 11. Repeat the process with the remaining batter and filling to make more cheelas.
- 12. Serve hot with a side of mint chutney or ketchup for added flavor.
