  • 500G Loose Besan
  • 1pc Watermelon
  • 20 g Turmeric Powder
  • 50 g Cumin Powder
  • - Red Chilli
  • 100 g Salt
  • 1 piece Yellow Bell Pepper
  • 250g Green Chilli
  • - Coriander Powder

Instructions

  1. 1. In a mixing bowl, combine chickpea flour, water, turmeric, cumin, red chili powder, and salt to form a smooth batter.
  2. 2. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan and sauté onions, tomatoes, capsicum, and carrots for 5 minutes.
  3. 3. Add chopped green chilies and coriander leaves to the sautéed vegetables and cook for 2 more minutes.
  4. 4. Heat a non-stick pan and lightly grease it with oil.
  5. 5. Pour a ladle of batter onto the pan and spread evenly to form a thin pancake.
  6. 6. Cook the pancake on medium heat for 2 minutes until golden brown on one side.
  7. 7. Flip the pancake and cook the other side for 2 more minutes.
  8. 8. Place a portion of the spiced vegetable filling on one half of the cooked pancake.
  9. 9. Fold the pancake over the filling and press gently to seal.
  10. 10. Cook for an additional minute to ensure the pancake is crisp and the filling is warm.
  11. 11. Repeat the process with the remaining batter and filling to make more cheelas.
