Ingredients
- 200 g Itc Master Chef Medium Prawns Peeled & Deveined (Frozen)
- 300 g Urban Platter Thai Jasmine Thai Rice
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- - Dark Soy Sauce-90 GM
- 100 g Dabur Honey
- 100 g The Select Aisle Corn Flour (Starch)
- 30 g Snapin Chilli Flakes
- 200 G Spring Onion(200Gm)
- 500 ml Oil (For Frying)
- - AMUL BUTTER CUBE 20GM
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
- - Rock Salt
- 1 kg Water Chestnuts
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the jasmine rice under cold water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- 2. In a pot, bring 300 ml of water to a boil, add the rinsed rice, and cook on low heat until tender and fluffy.
- 3. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, and 2 tablespoons of water to create a smooth sauce.
- 4. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large pan over medium heat, then sauté the garlic until it turns golden and aromatic.
- 5. Add the cleaned prawns to the pan and cook for 3-4 minutes until they turn pink and opaque.
- 6. Reduce the heat to low, add butter to the pan, and pour in the prepared sauce, stirring well to coat the prawns.
- 7. Sprinkle red chili flakes and rock salt into the pan, stirring gently to incorporate the spices evenly.
- 8. Cook the prawns for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly and clings to the prawns.
- 9. Turn off the heat and garnish the prawns with chopped green onions and fresh coriander leaves.
- 10. Fluff the cooked jasmine rice with a fork and divide it evenly between two serving plates.
