- 1 Kg Star Jsr L Kolam Rice1kg
- 80 g Soya Chunks
- - Frozen Mixed Vegetables
- - Onion-250 Gms
- 100 g Garlic - Single Clove
- loose Ginger
- medium Chilli Green Long
- 100 g Popular Essentials Jeera (Cumin Seeds)
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- 100 g Catch Super Garam Masala
- 1 Bunch Coriander Leaves ( Kottambari Soppu )
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- 140 g Modern Kitchens Raita Boondi - 100 % Rice Bran Oil
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under running water and soak it for 20 minutes.
- 2. Boil the soy chunks in salted water for 5 minutes, then drain and squeeze out excess water.
- 3. Heat oil in a deep pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- 4. Add finely chopped onion, minced garlic, ginger, and green chili, sautéing until golden brown.
- 5. Stir in coriander powder, turmeric powder, and garam masala, cooking for 1 minute to release the spices' aroma.
- 6. Add the soy chunks and cook for 3-4 minutes until they are coated in the spices and slightly crisp.
- 7. Mix in the frozen mixed vegetables and cook for another 2 minutes to soften them slightly.
- 8. Drain the soaked rice and add it to the pan, stirring gently to combine with the vegetables and soy chunks.
- 9. Pour in water and add salt, bringing the mixture to a boil over medium heat.
- 10. Lower the heat, cover the pan with a lid, and simmer for 15 minutes until the rice is cooked and fluffy.
- 11. Turn off the heat and let the pilaf rest for 5 minutes, covered, to allow the flavors to meld.
