Ingredients
- - Masoor Dal
- - Baby Tomatoes
- 100 g Garlic
- loose Ginger
- 100 g Jeera
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 45 g Garam Masala
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Wash and soak the red lentils in water for 30 minutes.
- 2. Dice the lamb into bite-sized pieces and set aside.
- 3. Heat oil in a pot and sauté cumin seeds until aromatic.
- 4. Add chopped onions and cook until golden brown, stirring occasionally.
- 5. Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for 1 minute until fragrant.
- 6. Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric, chili powder, coriander powder, and garam masala. Cook until tomatoes soften.
- 7. Add the lamb pieces and cook for 5 minutes, stirring to coat them in the spices.
- 8. Drain the lentils and add them to the pot, mixing well with the lamb and spices.
- 9. Pour in water and add salt, then bring the mixture to a boil.
- 10. Lower the heat and simmer for 20 minutes until the lentils are soft and the lamb is tender.
- 11. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves before serving.
