Ingredients
- 1 pack (1 kg) 921 Everyday Long Grain Rice
- 500 g Haringhata Boneless Frozen Chicken Breast
- loose Ginger
- - MF GARLIC CLOVES 100GM
- 300 G Assorted Chilli Pepper Sb Shichimi Tougarashi
- 1 pack (1 kg) Aashirvaad Crystal Salt | Iodised
- - White Pepper
- 200 G Spring Onion(200Gm)
- 1 ltr Anveshan Cold Pressed Black Sesame Oil
- - Coriander Powder
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the rice thoroughly under running water until the water runs clear to remove excess starch.
- 2. In a large pot, add the washed rice and 1 liter of water, then bring it to a boil over medium heat.
- 3. While the rice is boiling, finely chop the ginger, garlic, and spring onions. Set aside the spring onion greens for garnish.
- 4. Add the chopped ginger and garlic to the pot, stirring well to infuse their flavors into the rice.
- 5. Cut the chicken breast into thin slices and add them to the simmering pot. Stir gently to combine.
- 6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.
- 7. Season the congee with salt, white pepper, and Shichimi Tougarashi for a flavorful, mildly spicy kick.
- 8. Once the congee reaches a creamy consistency, drizzle in the sesame oil and mix well.
