Ingredients
- 1 kg Basmati Rice
- 6 pcs White Eggs
- 500 g Onion
- - Tomato Ketchup
- 250g Green Chilli
- 20 g Turmeric Powder
- - Red Chilli
- 100 g Jeera
- 200 ml Mustard Oil
- - Coriander Powder
- 100 g Salt
- 1pc Watermelon
Instructions
- 1. Rinse the basmati rice thoroughly and soak it in water for 20 minutes.
- 2. Boil the eggs for 8-10 minutes, then peel and set aside.
- 3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds, letting them sizzle for 30 seconds.
- 4. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- 5. Mix in ginger-garlic paste and chopped green chilies, cooking for another minute.
- 6. Add diced tomatoes, turmeric, chili powder, and coriander powder, and cook until the tomatoes soften.
- 7. Slice the boiled eggs in half and gently coat them with the spice mixture.
- 8. Drain the rice and cook it in 300 ml water with a pinch of salt until tender.
- 9. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and layer it into serving bowls.
- 10. Top the rice with the spiced egg mixture and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
